Tomorrow this space morphs into a travel blog as I head west. I’m not sure how much access I’ll have to the internet each night, but as much as possible I’ll post pictures and videos of my bicycle travels from the day.
I’ve never been to Yellowstone before, so I’m a bit pumped about going. I’ve seen the gorgeous pictures of the park, now I’m going to see it first-hand. If, like me, you’ve never been there, you can check out on the map where it’s located.
Tomorrow I’ll drive 8 hours as far as Spearfish. If I have some daylight left after my drive, I’ll bicycle through Spearfish Canyon, which I think is the prettiest scenic road in South Dakota. Then on Friday I’m up early for an additional 6 hour drive to Red Lodge to begin my adventure. I’ll join 700 other bicyclists from 46 states and 6 other countries.
Can you imagine, taking a “vacation” to bicycle over mountains? If you think it’s crazy, tune in daily this next week for pictures and maybe I’ll convince you that bicycling through a national park is one heck of an amazing way to see God’s glory!
